GIVE HIM BACK! GIVE JUBAL BACK TO ME, NOW! / CHELSEA!! / Jubal... / Oh Goddess, no... / ... Jubal. / WHAT ABOUT JUBAL? WHERE IS HE? WHERE IS JUBAL? / He's... he's inside of me.
Castle Dracula, 1769 / Kill him or come with me! That is the choice I give you! / You should not even be here. / I have been with him for nearly 300 years. I was his FIRST! / He's made one attempt on my life already. Together we can destroy him. / NO! I WILL NOT KILL HIM! / Is that mercy in your voice, Morana? Or is it pity?
Pity is an insult, and mercy is a tactical error. / You have great power, Gustov of the Nyx. / You steal from your host the woman once of his heart, and within his own house. Great power indeed... / ... but not as great as mine. / You have been a gracious host these ten years and despite our differences, you have taught me well in the ways of your magick. I had no intentions of taking anything from you but knowledge. / You and I are much alike. / We are warriors! In a different manner perhaps, but we are soliders nonetheless. We each constantly seek tactical advantage over our opponent. / This false humility you project is beneath even your putrid skills. / Stop it, both of you!
I chose to be with Gustov!! / You chose? NO! I BURDEN him with you! Both of you, out of my sight! / Mercy? A tactical error? / It is not mercy to let the grass grow beneath your feet. / It matters not. / Morana... / She was Gustov's main squeeze and you just killed her... just like that. / She was MINE to kill. / Now, burn it. / When you return, talk to me of this century and of the Chattan witch. I want to know everything.
Damn. / Did you ever have one of those moments in which something went so right that it was euphoric, and in that same instant something else went so wrong it was nothing less than catastrophic? No? / I didn't think so. / I saw her true self. I doubt you ever got a glimpse of her as I did tonight. The Chattan curse in action is truly a beautiful thing to behold. / Dracula should coax her out again with ease. Perhaps he'll even coax more than her darkness. Not what you had in mind, I'm sure, but then you two were never meant to be. Sorry to tell you, but that's just the way it is. She is destined for greater things than you. / Let's see... they get together, kill Lilith, then the witch and I kill Dracula and live happily ever after. / Oh yes, the catastrophe. No, it's not the face, although that was a calculated risk. No. The catastrophe is yours as well as mine. I meant to bring back your soul, but somehow I lost it. I think the witch took it. Admittedly it's a wrinkle, but then all of this would hardly be a challenge without a few things to iron out. Speaking of which... / I do need to do something about the face. / Krack! / Now that should make things REALLY interesting.

It's not your fault. / Jubal, listen to me. It is not your fault. Gustov's a powerful wizard. He tricked me too. If it hadn't been for Sebastian, he would have... raped me. But that's not your fault. You have to believe that. / Why? Because it's true, you chowder-head, that's why! / I'm sorry... / No, I'm NOT. You are a chowderhead! You, me and Cynthia? She's my SISTER! That's disgusting! / No, it's not the same thing. Paul and I aren't related. Well, not blood related, and you're not in it! So? Raven isn't related to me, either. Okay, we're both overreacting. We just need to deal with this, somehow. I don't care about Claudia Schiffer, she's not my sister. / We know each other's deepest, darkest secrets now, and sexual fantasies are the least of our worries. You know things about me that no one else does, things I may never have told anyone... not even you. / Your soul is inside me, and as many problems as that may cause, it's wonderful at the same time.
I admire your ability to adapt to any situation. I wish I had that. / Yeah, you're right. I guess I do now. / Jubal, I'm scared. / I can feel it, the Chattan curse. I can feel it hounding me like death hounds all of us. It's inevitable, and I just want to give in. I want to give in and rip Gustov and Dracula to bits. I WANT TO TEAR THEM ALL TO PIECES! / I JUST WANT TO KILL THEM ALL!!!! / I know just how you feel.
You need a change. Not a big one, just something to spice you up. / I don't want to be spiced up. / Hush. / When I was 17, I ran out on Jacob. Quite the troublemaker I was. I was doing lots of things I shouldn't have, and I suppose my Karma got back at me. / It was then I ran into five young, very ANXIOUS werewolves. I didn't like the way they looked at me, so I gave them Hell... for a while. They took me to a cave. I fought them wildly, nearly scratched their eyes out. / But it wasn't enough. / They kept me there for three days, invited friends. That was their mistake. Word got out, and Jacob came to my rescue. / A week later, I cut my hair. It didn't help much, but it was a change. It was something I did, something I controlled. / I didn't know. / I never told you. How does it look? / Wow.
The Tepes are moving. It seems they're headed for Chelsea in London. We could stop them. Vampire against vampire is not against Council law. / No. I've sent a special envoy to the witch. Dracula is her problem, now. SHE is our problem. / Your expertise in the oral traditions of the Netherworld and DEVOTION to its SECRET knowledge is why you are here. / Kern used the KRIS OF PAK to steal Dracula's urn, and the witch detected it. Most believe the Kris is the ultimate weapon of stealth that even conceals its own magick. Even I couldn't feel its magickal aura, and it was wielded by my own son. / But there is an even darker secret to this kris. Or am I wrong? / Are you ever wrong? / Its origin is what makes the blade so special. The Kris of Pak began as an orb of energy which was forged by the OLD ONES to deceive each other, but it worked all too well. Unable or unwilling to destroy the orb, the OLD ONES transformed it into a kris and gave it to the blue dragon called PAK so that it would never fall into lesser hands. / The OLD ONES, as we call them, were creatures, beings, some say Gods, which dominated the universe eons ago. / These Old Ones, these GODS, are the reason we keep certain knowledge secret and forbidden. Most believe them to be a myth to frighten little monsters into minding their elders. / But they are real.
It may be the ultimate irony that the Kris of Pak is a blade weapon, since one drop of blood will render it useless. / Have I passed your test? Have I dazzled you with my expertise? / Tell me, Mr. Chattan, what you know of the VENE SEACH'BUI REGINA, and you will. / The fabled QUEEN of the Netherworld? / The idea is timeless within the Netherworld, but the actual term is only a few thousand years old. The term, which basically means Queen of Magick, is composed of three different languages, Latin, Gaelic and a Netherworld tongue that was first used in Ireland in 800 BCE. / Regina, of course is Latin for Queen. The rest of the term is less obvious -- / Enough! I do not want a lecture in ancient languages! / Tell me the secret of the VENE SEACH'BUI REGINA. Tell me the one secret that most dare not even whisper about the fabled Queen. / She shall know the Old Ones... / ... for she is one of them. / It is time.

It is time... / Time for what? / Oh? / ... to rise! / GANG WAY! / Grak! / GYRARRRHHH!! / GrrOOWWWWw!!! / RISE! / Grak! / GWROOORRRR!!
GRRAAA!! / Ryaaaa!! / Chomp! / Eeeeiiii!!!! / ENOUGH!! / Krak! / Chomp! / Smk! / Slurp! / I know your AGONY. Your thirst is unbearable. But you must wait. / You must wait until I say. Then you will drink from the fountain of LIFE itself. / For now, you will sleep and find a moment of peace. Sleep. / SLEEP. / Now, we have much business to attend to. / Ooohhhhhhh.
You've got some juice there on your... chin. / Oh, yeah. Thanks, man. / Are you... okay? / Yeah... BURRAAP!! / Are you eating Blackberry PIE for breakfast? Heh, you must be picking up his... habits. / Jubal? / Chelsea's still asleep, but I got hungry, so I took a shot at it. I got to tell you, this has been really weird. / I mean, I had to pee this morning, and I was still half asleep. Man, it made a mess. Just... everywhere. / I get the picture. / But worst of all, it's getting confusing. I'm still me, but suddenly a pair of sneakers and a pair of dress shoes isn't even a good start, and I've got the biggest craving for Thai food you ever heard of. / I love Chelsea to death, but I don't know if I can do this for the long haul. / I don't know where my body is, but if I could get out of this body, I think I could find it. / Huh? Wha? Who?
Jubal, you can't be serious! You can't leave my body! I won't let you. / Yes, it's getting funky for me too. I have an unbearable craving for donuts with peanut butter and Claudia Schiffer. / Huh? / Never mind. / Wait just a minute! / My grandmother was big into spiritualism when I was young and told me all about angels, spirits, the soul and O.B.E. / Out of Body Experience, Astral Projection. / And sometimes these souls that were out of their body would get lost and have to say a prayer to get back. A prayer is like a spell, right? / Sort of. / I... I don't know. It sounds risky. / Hardly Buckingham Palace, eh, Madame Mina. / No. It isn't, Professor.
I will need a great deal to live in this century. Identification, passports, money. / There is an estate account for Baron Vladislav Latos at the LLoyds Bank. You will transfer that into the name of Baron Vlad Latos III. / I will also need a wizard, one who is loyal, in order to reach my castle. It is not in this dimension. / You will do these things without question. You will not return here. / There are only five hours until sunset. All must be prepared before then. / But, the sun... / The sun will not harm you. Not as long as I exist. Your strength and your powers will be diminished within daylight, but you will not burn. / Well, I'll be. / Now go! Do these things I have commanded! We have five hours until sunset. Five hours until the World changes!

I cannot go any further. Something is blocking my way. / I can't, either, and I was here only a day ago. / We are all creatures of magick and the witch is guarding against us. Friend or foe, she is undiscriminating. A wise choice. / We could yell. / And have the witch throw more garlic at you? / This should get their attention. / Doubtful. / Pap! / You are magick, and nothing you can do, short of a powerful conterspell, will get us into that house. / I've seen this before. We will have to be invited from within. / So that's where that comes from. / Certain myths do have a basis in fact. However, not all vampire lore is myth. While Dracula and his ilk may not wither in the sun, our dear Maritza is not so lucky. The sun is here, and she must seek shelter within the hour. / I'll be fine. / And God has given us a way inside. It must be your devout Catholic upbringing. / It must be.
My good lady, are you acquainted with the Chattan household? / Uh... I'm a friend of Chelsea's. Are you? / In a way. I myself have never met the young lady, but we are here to help her. / Could you do me the favor of announcing me to your friend? / Huh? / A gentleman never calls on a young lady unannounced, and I am afraid I am at a disadvantage. If you were to announce us so Miss Chelsea could invite us in, you would do us all a great favor. / I don't know. My mom said I'm not supposed to talk to strangers. / Your mother is quite correct. Where are my manners? If we have not been properly introduced, then how can you announce us to Miss Chelsea? My name is Abraham Van Helsing. This is Wilhelmina Murray and Maritza. / I'm Disa Bloom. I live next door with my mom and little brother. Are you here to help the talking cat? / I can't believe he just let me stand there half-naked in front of him. I didn't dress myself! / Oh, can it Jubal!
You got that, Jubal? No more dressing me when I'm asleep! / I'm sorry. I just thought clothes were an option for you. I didn't want to call attention. / Not a word, Jubal. / Chelsea, a moment, please? / I checked and re-checked the house this morning and everything seems fine. The spell is holding despite Gustov's menace. It appears he was only after you. / Only? / He still has Jubal's body. I'm going after him. / You know what I meant! And if I may add, Paul's idea that you release Jubal's soul may have risk, but it also has merit. There is a good chance he will find his body! / What if he doesn't?! / I am going after him! Got it?! / If I may be so bold, it would be unwise for you to leave just now. / Who are you? / I am Professor Abraham Van Helsing, and I've come to help you destroy Dracula. / Disa brought them here, and I invited them in.
Dracula Strikes / What jest is this? / You're famous, that's what it is. You didn't know? / Stoker's novel. / Yer all those movies, books and jazz they made about you. You're an icon, an industry. And there are other vampires out there because of you. Lestat, Angel, Vampirella, you're like their grandfather or something. Everybody knows about Dracula -- well the character, that is... Master. / I am revered? / Well, you're big, but you're not Elvis. / Welcome to my castle! Bwa-hahahaha! / Uh, right. / Love the look. Shall I call you Count? / I am Prince Vlad. / Oooo, that Romanian accent is to die for. / Indeed.
What are they doing here? / And you, Van Helsing. The last I heard you were quite incapacitated. / Quite correct, until Lilith paid me a visit. / You? A vampire? / Hardly. My youth is on loan, as it were. Lilith's blood flows through my veins, but I have no hunger. / Mina and I have fought Dracula before, and became victims of his accursed dark magick. / We have a personal stake in the matter... pardon the pun. / I will deal with it, but first I'm going after Jubal! / Must you always be so melodramatic? Lord, you'd think we were in an Italian opera. / Dracula is the priority, Sis. Jubal will be fine. Dead or not, he always is. I'll fetch your pup for you, just because I love you so.

YOU'RE going after Jubal? I don't think so! / Oh, I think so! / I think I'll take Disa back home. / Yes, please. / Good idea, Grandma. I'm sure her mother is worried about her. / Now, if you don't mind, I'm going to find Jubal's body. / How? / I'm going to scry for him. / You know Gustov will have a spell against that, or is he the real reason you want to go? You want to let him finish what he started? / Do you hear shouting, Ben? Ben? / You bitch! / Woosh! / Whmp! / UGH! / See, you're a sucker for a LOW BLOW. You're no match for Gustov, Dracula... or me for that matter. / At least, not alone. / Let me help you. Let US help you. / You go to Hell! / Chelsea! That is no way to talk in front of company!
Mama, what are you doing up? / Are you okay? / I'm a little weak, but all right. / My dear Mrs. Monroe. A victim of Dracula is never ALL RIGHT. / I agree. You should still be resting. / I feel fine. / Do you remember anything? / Everything is such a blur. / I remember... red eyes and some sort of foul odor. It was sickening, but most of all I recall a presence of evil. It was pure evil. / Dracula. That was the same experience I had when he took me. Fortunately, you did not taste his blood, nor did he drain you. With the help of Gustov we escaped soon after Dracula fled the manor. / I'm sure with Chelsea's help you will be able to get rid of that horrid creature. / Is that the plan, Chelsea? / I guess... that's the plan. / I'll help you find Jubal. / Is that my locket?
Oh, the locket, it's for... good luck. I didn't think you'd mind. / I don't. You can have it if you like. / Thanks. Well, I need to cook up a Soul Jar just in case. / If you're going to scry, I could ask Agnes if she can butcher a hog, and we can read his bowels. / I thought that was only for telling fortunes. / You scry innards too. / I think I'll stick to my crystal ball. / You're the Christian, right? You are devout? / I like to think so. / Good. We need to talk... alone. / I'll go watch TV. / Mrs. Monroe, I am Professor Abraham Van Helsing. If you please I would like to speak with you about your experience with Dracula. / Van... Helsing? Like in the movies? / I suppose so. / Somehow, I don't doubt it. / We can talk while you rest.
You must be new, or I would have seen you at the Nevermore. / S'Okay, you can come with me tonight. We'll make an entrance that'll kill 'em all dead. / I am certain we would. I am planning a small but LIVELY gathering in Chelsea tonight. You should accompany ME. / I'd love to, but I can't. Stu, my boyfriend, owes me 50 pounds, and I need it. Maybe after I get the money I'll swing back by here. / You will come. / Yes. / Tell me, what is it about DRACULA that entices you so? / The darkness, the danger... the mystery. / And the pain? / I... I can handle a bit. A bit is... okay. / GOOD!
Y-You really are HIM? / I AM DRACULA. / Are you going to t-turn me? / For now, I need your thoughts, your knowledge. / MY thoughts? Of what? / OF ME. / WHAT AM I TO THIS WORLD? / You are legend and myth. You are an icon of the night. You are DRACULA, vampire.

And you're kind of kitschy too, but in a good way. / You have given me enough, Elaine. / I understand what I am to this world. / My friends call me dusk. / DO YOU HEAR ME?!! / I know what I am to this world! / And I am greater than you! / Sssssssssss
Dammit! / Every time I ask where Jubal is, I just get my own reflection. / I can't tell if it's because Jubal's soul is inside his true self, and that's inside me, and THAT'S why I'm getting my reflection... / ... or if it's just my reflection. / How do you interpret this? / I don't know. / I owe Jubal so much. He grounds me. He's the PAUL to my JOHN. He died once trying to save me, and I wanted to save him. I NEED to save him. / I guess that's why I freaked out over Corrine's offer to help. / That and, well... sometimes, lately, I just want to go at it head first, y'know. I just want to... / Behave like your sister? / Do you think the Chattan curse is finally catching up to me?
Your behavior could be the Chattan Curse finally coming to fruition... / ... or it could be the great deal of stress you've been under. / I guess I always knew it would catch up to me, like it has with Corrine. I love my sister, but I don't want to be like her. / I don't want to have to kill people to hold the curse at bay. / Neither does she... / Mel ran away from home at a very young age. What, fifteen, sixteen? I believe that's what changed her. She became a werecat not long before I found her. / The BLOODLUST started three years later. / And I was in New York for three years and have been back here four. / Nothing really happened to me while I was up there. Nothing until the dreams started. It was then little things began to happen. Meant nothing then, but now, I'm not so sure. / I'm having dreams again. / WHAT DREAMS? Why haven't you told me about these DREAMS? / They're telling me to use my darkness.
I can't see a thing with the crystal ball... or anything else for that matter. / I'm going outside for a few minutes. I need to clear my head... Well, I'm going to try. / I'll set up what we need to release Jubal's soul. Mel and I will both follow it to his body. / We still need to discuss your dreams. We'll need to interpret them before you face Dracula. / Whatever. / Uh... Come again? / Only with the True Cross can Chelsea destroy Dracula forever. Unfortunately, it will only work if she truly believes in the Cross. / You have to make her believe. / Of course, we have to find the Cross first. / That's going to be the easy part.
It's windy out today. / Okay, I thought the Curse was going to pass over me! I thought I was different! / But I'm not. / You know what I'm capable of. You know now what I did in New Orleans with Rose. / I could be a thousand times worse than Corrine. Worse than Eleanor. / I guess I've just been deluding myself... I'm doomed. / What do you mean, "Stop feeling sorry for myself?" / You don't understand! You don't have to -- / Sweep the yard? / Yes, it has been a long time. / / If you have asked me a year ago to "Witness" my sister-in-law, I would have been two steps ahead of you. / Let's just say that for now, I'm not your guy. / Besides, what's the big deal about Dracula? They killed him with a BOWIE knife in the novel. / Yes, WE did. / But Dracula has died many times, only to RETURN time and time again. If we destroy him with the TRUE CROSS, we destroy him FOREVER. / I'm sorry. Chelsea and I have had our disagreements, but I respect her for what she is... / ... and what she has done for me and mine. / Why me? Why Chelsea? If it's going to take the True Cross to kill Dracula... / ... shouldn't someone talk to the VATICAN about it? / You do this because we say so, or I will KILL your wife and child before your eyes! / Please, do as we ask.
