Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: Confirmation [[Raven banishes the curse of the Corbies in a ceremony, flanked by Kel and Sanderon, watched by Ragnarok, Harold, Hildegard, Fay, Ottar, Jodoque and two other berserkerettes.]] / Raven: Curse! I knew you from the egg! Begone! / Narration: That night, a motley group of witches, mages, berserkerettes and assorted misfits, plus one green faerie, watched by two very puzzled babies, marked the end of the Corby Curse, and the start of a peace process, with a suitable ceremony. / [[Raven hugs Sanderon. Kel and the others line up to say farewell to Raven. Kel addresses Jodoque.]] / Kel: A firm handshake. Nothing more. / Narration: And in the morning, the two parties went their separate ways - Raven and Ottar to the Corby abode to spread the good news; Kel, Jodoque and Ragna's berserkerettes to the Llanfarythich homestead with their offspring.
Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: Bovine Faecalisation [[Kel, Jodoque, Fay, Ragnarok, Harold and a delegation of berserkerettes are on the way to the Rogues' homestead.]] / Jodoque: Kel, my love, flower of womankind, beacon in my life? / Kel: Hmmm? / Jodoque: I've known you for five yoears, and I don't think I've ever heard you tell an untruth. / Kel: Hmmmm? / Jodoque: So where did you learn to bullshit like you did yesterday? ... my precious jewel? / Kel: Hmm? / Jodoque: Don't "Hmm" me! Mrs. Leppi didn't keep you cooped up in that sauna for five days! / Kel: Tried to, though? / Jodoque: You took a nap after the birth and then went looking for your lute! / Jodoque: And her bedside manner was awful! No way did she explain Finnish magic to you! / Kel: So? / Jodoque: So you made all that stuff up! / Kel: So I did. Worked, though!
Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: Exploitation Kel: Look, those Corby people are very confused. Their grandad got something he wanted, and passed it on to his descendants. Take it from me that that's not a curse. / [[Fay sticks her tongue out at Jodoque.]] / Kel: We're lucky that that girl was so credulous. She'll be great at passing on the good news to the others. We're home! / [[From inside the homestead, Atra squees at Kel, Jodoque, Fay, Ragnarok, Harold and Hildegard.]] / Atra: EEEEEEEE!
Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: Disaugiation Narration: Once again, Kel and her baby were greated enthousiastically by Atra, who was in her shirt, brandishing a mop of terrifying aspect. With manic energy, she welcomed Ragna and her baby into the house, although she insisted that the berserkerettes wiped their feet thoroughly. / On the spotless table, she then placed tankard upon shiny tankard of frothing ale. / And then, she explained that she had woken up in the morning with a feeling of profound relief, as though a black cloud had lifted from her mind. / Atra: ...So I thought: "Ye Gods! This place needs cleaning!" I've been at it all day.
Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: The goodwill spreads... recovered on December 3, 2010. Narrated: Strangely, this was exactly how Jake the Gnome felt. One moment, he was on bended knees in Duchess Gu?r?n's office, begging the Gnomian envoys to take him home with them - the next, craving a beer and a leg of lamb. This puzzled the envoys somewhat. / Narrated: AAAND...Mags and Carrie Corby went from fussing over what might have happened to Raven to a deep, satisfying sleep in a heartbeat. / Narrated: AAAAND...No. One of the Corby clan was feeling no relief whatsoever.

Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: Oththere saede to his hlaforde.... Narration: Ottar said to his master, Leroukh Corby, that he of all the faeries had chosen the worst sponsor. "Wythllew is a hallow-wounder, trustunworthsome and eeee-vile!" / Narration: It might have been wiser for the young faerie to consider his station, or maybe to work up to the bad news slowly. But rarely do the fay folk learn such virtues until they are well into their year of Serfdom. / Narration: "How dare you insult our ally? What's got into you?" barked Leroukh. / Narration: "Be not winkhooded by your lovemanship, Hlaford! Your match is guiltful of misdoing mickle!"
Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: Impiety and Impropriety! Wythllew: That's I-nowe. Ye would not be off-laid with seven moons yet to wend! / Ottar: You... you wear your misdoing's proof for all to behold! / Wythllew: What of blather'st thou, thou lite- / [[Ottar whisks Wythllew's head off.]] / Ottar: The Bearfore's Bone! 'Tis on your hat! / <>
Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: Impulsive implosion, or impassiveness? [[Ottar dives away from Wythllew.]] / Narration: Ottar had half hoped to see Wythllew shrivel up into a small purple imp upon mention of the pilfered bone, but all he got was a very faint blush and a slight facial twitch. Evidently, she had earned her current shape fair and square. / [[Ottar sits on Raven's shoulder and talks to Leroukh.]] / Ottar: Mylord, this faerie is treasonful! I cannot serve ye an if I must serve her as well. Give t'tothers my goodliest wishes. / [[Ottar flies away while Rave, Leroukh and Wythllew look at him.]] / Narration: The green faerie flew out through the window. / Leroukh: What was about? / Wythllew: Heed it not, my love.
Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: Narrated: But Leroukh brushed the faerie off. The shaggy man was feeling the urge to change into his bird form, and that always made him touchy. besides, he wasn't too sure if Ottar hadn't been telling the truth. Faeries, after all, don't usually break off their Rite of Serfdom over trivial matters. / Leroukh: Raven, what's going on? / Raven: Didn't you notice? The curse has been lifted! / Narrated: Leroukh wanted to ridicule the very idea, but he was further distracted by Hudde Corby bustling in.
Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: Morph-lust and job-hunt [[Leroukh pushes Wythllew aside to talk to Raven.]] / Narration: But Leroukh brushed the faerie off. The shaggy man was feeling the urge to change into his bird form, and that always made him touchy. Besides, he wasn't too sure if Ottar hadn't been telling the truth. Faeries, after all, don't usually break off their Rite of Serfdom over trivial matters. / Narration: "Raven," he said. "What's going on?" / [[Raven explains.]] / Raven: Didn't you notice? The curse has been lifted! / [[Hudde Corby walks in, triumphantly.]] / Narration: Leroukh wanted to ridicule the very idea, but he was further distracted by Hudde Corby bustling in. / [[Hudde talks to Leroukh.]] / Narration: Hudde also looked as if a great weight had lifted from his shoulders, and he also looked as if he was feeling very pleased with himself, which he was. / Hudde: Good news all! I've been hired as quartermaster for Duchess- I mean Duke Henry! / Narration: "You?", asked Leroukh, "How?" / [[Hudde narrates. Hudde at Duchess Guðrún's office.]] / Hudde: Oh, I just walked in and asked if the post was still vacant. The Duchess gave me a contract right away, no questions asked. In fact, I think she rather fancied me. / [[Caroline and Jason Corby walk in, triumphant.]] / Narration: Once again, before Leroukh could get a snide remark in, Jason and Caroline Corby barged in, looking very pleased with themselves.

Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: Oh, piffle! [[Jay and Carrie are very cheery. Carrie holds up a hangman's hood.]] / Jay: Guess what? I've got a job! / Carrie: Me too! Serving drinks at the Golden Noose! ... I've already got my uniform! / Leroukh: That's quite a coincidence... Three of us getting jobs at once... / Raven: I told you! Our curse has been lifted! / Leroukh: Oh, piffle!
Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: Morph-lust sated... [{Leroukh takes off his vest.]] / [[Leroukh stands naked before Hoody, Carrie, Wythllew, Raven and Jay.]] / [[Leroukh has assumed his rook shape.]] / Narration: "Don't give me that nonsense about the curse being over! We are still shapeshifters!" / Narration: Leroukh Corby disrobed and spread his arms theatrically. He could feel it in his bones - an almost lascivious desire to change into his other form, urgent but shameful. He let it overcome him.
Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: Leroukh Corby has a sudden change of shape, and of heart... [[Leroukh flying up to the surprise of Raven and Jay]] / [[Leroukh leaving the house for good]] / [[Wythllew looking on, baffled. Raven watchful]] / Caption: The moment Leroukh completed his change into his bird shape, a feeling of profound relief washed over him. Driven by instinct, he flew up, sought out the window, and took his leave of the Corby household and the human world forever. / Dumbfounded, Wythllew stared at the window until the realisation sank in - that he was gone and wouldn't come back. The curse had ended for Leroukh Corby as well. Raven whistled a simple little tune that grated on Wythllew's ears in the same way that the smell of socks offended her nose. / [[Wythllew looking sad]] / [[Wythllew disapppearing in smoke, with Raven, Carrie and Jay looking on]] / Carrie: Oh well. What's your new job, Jason? / Jay: Well, Caroline... / Caption: Wythllew knew that she had lost. She hadn't just lost the war against the Llanfarythich household, but also the first man she had loved in more than fifty years. She wasted no time arguing with the other Corbies. Resolving to keep the area around her tree free of Pongwhiff spores from now on, she retreated into her own world. / "Good riddance," said Caroline Corby.
Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: Ottar friendfull-like up-whips a plain yet foodsome repast. [[Atra, Siobhean, Jodoque, Kel, Hildegard, Ragnarok and Bintsha at the dinner table.]] / Atra: ...And I've bought a flock of chickens. We'll have fresh eggs from now on. / Kel: We'll need them, if we're to feed all these people. / [[Jake walks in.]] / Jake: Did you mention food? I'll have some, yes! / [[Fay and Harold scream]] / Fay/Harold: Waaah! / Ragnarok: You know Sanderon said I should feed your baby for a few days. / Kel: But I'll dry up! Besides, I'm bursting already! / Jake: Hmmm. / Jake: I could fix up a pump like Gnomian Amazons use. That'd help you out, I think.. / [[There is a knock at the door.]] / Kel: All right, stay. But who's gonna cook for all of- / <> / [[Kel has opened the door, revealing Ottar. Strangely, Ottar is not naked: he is wearing dungarees, a pointy hat and shoes.]] / Ottar: Unjobsome faerie hither. Can ye out-help me? / "Can you cook?", asked Kel. / [[Ottar sweet-talks his way in.]] / [[Kel, Jodoque, Atra, Jake , Hildegard, Siobhean, Bintsha, Fay, Harold and Ragnarok eat while Ottar serves food.]] / [[Ragnarok ponders.]] / Narration: And so, later that evening, Ottar inaugurated his new position with a simple yet nourishing dinner for the entire company. A splendid time was had by all: Kel, Jodoque, Atra, Jake , Hildegard, Siobhean, Bintsha, Fay, Harold and Ottar - and even by Ragna, although as the beer wore on, she got more and more mindful of the one gang member who was still missing. / Narration: But then, they say absence makes the heart grow fonder, and if that was ever true for any specific person, then Tamlin was that man.
Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: A problem is solved by an unjobsome faerie. Narrated: Kel was about to silence her baby in the most obvious way available, but Ragnarok stopped her. / Ragna: [[Narrated]] You know Sanderon said I should feed your baby for a few days because of the poisoning. / Kel: [[Narrated]] Oh, come on! I'm about to burst here! / / Narrated: Jake the Gnome, who had listened into the conversation stroked his beard thoughtfully. / Jake: [[Narrated]] Hmmm. You know, I could fix up a pump like the Gnomian amazons use. That's help you out with that problem, I think. / Narrated: Kel sat down. / Kel: [[Narrated]] All right. But if you girls are all staying, who's gonna cook for all of - / Narrated: A knocking at the door interrupted her. / Narrated: When Kel opened, she was met by a small green face, floating at about eye height. / Ottar: [[Narrated]] Unjobsome faerie hither [said the face.] Can ye out-help me?

Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: Ottar's new allegiance is inaurated with a plane, yet foodsome repast, and absent folks are fondly recalled. Kel: [[Narrated]] Can you cook? / Narrated: And so, later that evening, Ottar inaugurated his new position with a simple yet nourishing dinner for the entire company. A splendid time was had by all: Kel, Jodoque, Atra, Jake, Hildegard, Siobhean, Bintsha, Fay, Harold and Ottar - and even by Ragna, although as the beer wore on, she got more and more mindful of the one gang member who was still missing. / Narrated: But then, they say absence makes the heart grow fonder, and if that was ever true for any specific person, then Tamlin was that man.
Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: A sinister Gnomian ritual is in process. But the girl on the slab is giggling! Well, this is it. It'll take you straight to Ancestor's Cave. / Good... / Sigh... / I wish I could go with you two. But it's right that you should be the ones to do this. / Yeah. / Ragna... / Take good care of Fay. / I will. / We should be back in four days. / Okay! Close your eyes and think of undermining the Gnomian government from within! / Thphhp! / Ragna!
Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: It's night. The cobbler's workshop is abandoned. But something flits through the window! [[A Fachwerk house, seen from the air.]] / [[Something flies in through a window. Tiny, bare, humanoid feet can be seen.]] / [[The interior of the house, with a shoemaker's workbench and tools.]] / [[The flying creature, a faerie, Kangra, lights one of the oil lamps.]] / <> / [[Kangra flies away from the oil lamp.]]
Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: Yes, it is in fact mending shoes. Don't worry though, the purpose of all this will be divulged eventually. [[A naked faerie lands on the work desk, drags a strip of leather towards a shoe last, cuts and sews. In the background, another faerie appears silhouetted against a window.]
Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: The faerie gets a letter, and this has an unusual effect on it. [[Kangra is distracted from her work by another faerie calling her in the window.]] / [[Kangra takes a scroll from the faerie.]] / [[Kangra reads the scroll. It has "KLL I HÞR - N" in runic script.]] / [[Kangra writes a reply on the back of the scroll.]] / [[Kangra hangs the scroll on a hook in the workshop.]] / [[Kangra flies out through the window. Her tiny, bare feet can be seen.]]

Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: Is that a groan tube I see before me? And a Gelfling whistle, no less! [[In the mountains, the Faerie Norla is playing a two-piped whistle with her bandmates, one of whom is playing a didgeridu-like instrument. Another is playing a square-bodied lute. All players and the audience of three faeries are fully clothed.]] / [[Kangra approaches them in the air, flying.]] / [[Kangra lands near Norla.]]
Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: How long can I keep up those wordless episodes with very little actually happening? Read the comic to find out... [[Kangra distracts Norla from her whistle playing. They talk.]] / [[Kangra flies up, Norla is about to do the same.]] / [[Kangra and Norla fly above the forest.]] / [[Kangra and Norla land in front of the entrance to a cave.]] / [[Kangra and Norla stand in front of the cave, waiting.]]
Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: One last preparation before they're ready to tackle.... the cave! [[Kangra and Norla stand in front of the entrance to a cave, Kangra leaning on Norla's shoulder.]] / [[Kangra and Norla grow so fast they appear blurred.]] / [[Kangra and Norla still stand in front of the cave entrance, but are now human-sized.]]
Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: The faeries wait outside the cave. What comes out is green, and red, and has two heads. [[Kangra and Norla look at the cave entrance. Kel and Jodoque speak off-panel.]] / Kel: Ow! Drat! It's already started to burn! / Jodoque: Take it off, then! / [[Kel and Jodoque speak from within the cave.]] / Kel: Mmm-no. I'll wear it over my dress, though. (Hey, we made it, didn't we?) / Jodoque: Yeah! / Jodoque: Wow! Look! That's- / Kel: Hey! / [[Kangra, who is naked, backs away from the dangling piece of iron.]] / Kangra: Careful with that iron star! / Kel: Aww... you've made yourselves big for me! / Jodoque: Three Kels! Mmm...
Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: The new arrivals get a warm and voluble welcome. Kel: Jodoque, meet my half-sisters, Kangra and Norla. / Jodoque: Hi. / [[Jodoque shakes Kangra's hand.]] / Jodoque; Pleased to meet you. I won't have any trouble telling you apart. / Kangra: ? / [[Kangra and Norla assault Kel with questions.]] / Norla: It's been so / Kangra: How are the people in that gang you're in / Norla: How are you / Kangra: How did you get here? / Norla: Why have you come back? / Kel: Hold it, girls! / Kel: One question at a time - and I'll start with the personal ones. / Kel: I'm fine! Married to Jodoque... settled down with the gang... and I've got a child!

Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: Faeries have an uncanny ability to go [[Kangra and Norla shrink to a tiny size.]] / Kangra/Norla: Wow! / <> / Jodoque: What? Where did they- / Kel: Down there. / Kangra: Sorry about that. It's the excitement, see? / Norla: Staying human-sized is a bit tricky for us. / [[Kangra and Norla are human-sized again.]] / Kangra: Better? / Kel: You'll get used to it. / Kangra: Was that what you came here for? To tell us? / Kel: No. I want an audience with the shrine-keeper. / Kangra/Norla: Wooo!
Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: The 4 people... creatures... whatever... proceed to an inn. I can already tell you they won't be challenged to a fight. Blah. [[A hoopoo flies. Norla and Kel speak off-panel.]] / Norla: There's a human-run inn nearby. They may have horses for you to use. / [[Jodoque, Kel, Norla and Kangra arrive at the inn.]] / [[Jodoque, Kel, Norla and Kangra walk through the door.]] / Kel: Interesting...
Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: Like I said, no overzealous challengers, big frigging swords and other fantasy clichés. Ale is mentioned once or twice, though. Kangra: High elves at three o'clock. With the Gnome girl, Th'pixie and the old human. Avoid. / Kel: Uh-huh. / Jodoque: Ale. / Kel: Ale. / Norla: I'll have half an obol of wine, please. / Kangra: Spare a cup of water for an initiate? / Norla: Mmm. / Kel: Water, Kangra? I've never seen you take anything ligher than... / Kangra: I'm taking the Rite. No spirits for me until my time's up. / Jodoque [[thinks]]: Three Kels!
Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: Kangra gives the straight dope about the Rite and its place in Elven society. Still no swordfighter in sight. Kel: That explains a lot, yeah. / Kangra: Oh! That reminds me... / Kangra: I'll need to ask for dispensation to travel to the Shrine with you. I'll get on the case in the morning. / Jodoque: I've heard of this Rite. Is it important? / Kangra: It's sacred! / Kangra: Doing unrewarded work and denying yourself basic comfort is proof that you're fit to take your place in Elven society. I can't leave just like that! / Kangra: Normally, it's a full year's term unless they offer you a reward. Then you're supposed to leave in a huff. / [[Jodoque speaks off-panel.]] / Jodoque: Where do you... / Kangra: -Rent a huff? Ha ha, funny man.
Webcomic Rogues of Clwyd-Rhan: Wizards and alchemists are rarely ever good news. Still, this one and his companions are swordless, so how bad can it be? [[Magister Von Kildenbusch, an Alchemist, speaks off-panel.]] / Kangra: I can get some time off, but I'll need permission from the office... / Von Kildenbusch: Excuse me... / [[Von Kildenbusch is a very old man in wizard's robes.]] / Von Kildenbusch: I couldn't help but notice your hat... can I take a look at it? / Kel: Sure! / Von Kildenbusch: Is this what I think it is? How long have you had this? / Kel: Since this morning. / Kel: We took it from a faerie in Clwyd-Rhan. She helped steal it many years ago. / Von Kildenbusch: Uh-huh... / [[Kel narrates. In the narration, Hildegard, Jake, Ottar, Kel, Jodoque and Atra have trapped Wythllew in a circle of Gnomes' socks.]] / Kel: I heard about the theft a while ago, and today, a few of us got together to summon her the only way we knew how to. / Wythllew: What wilthou this time, mongrel? / Kel: Talk to the sock, Wythllew! The sock wants your hat.
